gray dress, black stockings?? uggs?

It is a short-sleeved dress, but its cold outside. What color tights look good? pure solid black? something with a pattern? Lace? Also, do you think the boots look good with it? Ps I am very tall 5'11 and supermodel thin. The dress is too short on me, so Id feel more comfortable with socks!
